My surgery went very well! They removed the whole left side of my thyroid along with the goiter (which was 4.7 inches long and as big around as a golf ball) but they were able to save the right side. The doctors are hoping that since they saved the right half - it might wake up and start working (no medicine for the rest of my life). We won't know for at least a month. Either way is a lot better than before though. You can barely see my incision already...how incredible. THANK YOU everyone for all your love and prayer. I am back at work and improving on a daily basis. Today we are going to lunch with Donna Roy and the boys who are in Durango for their spring break. Hope to see the rest of you soon. Love Vanessa
